The AM1/AP-2A is an industrial M12 inductive proximity sensor manufactured by M.D. Micro Detectors (now under the Datasensing brand, and also distributed under brands like IMO). It is a non-contact, solid-state electronic switch designed to detect ferrous metal targets without physical contact.
